Inesa’s a Cut Above the Rest

On Tuesday 24th February 2015, Inesa Petrauskiene’s achievements on her Apprenticeship award, with Poultec Training, found her shaking hands with Mr. Mark Adams, The Deputy Master of the Worshipful Company of Butchers at Tallow Chandlers' Hall in London at The Institute of Meat/ Worshipful Company of Butchers ceremony, sponsored by Poulters’ Company.
The presentation of prizes by The Master of the Worshipful Company of Butchers, took place at the Chandlers’ Hall with a total of 13 prizes, before a luncheon, during which the Master circulated and discussed hot topics with winners and their guests.
Inesa Petrauskiene, who works at Gressingham Foods, won the award for “Best Poultry Industry Student” after completing her Intermediate Apprenticeship in 2012 and progressing onto an Advanced Apprenticeship programme. Inesa impressed the judges by her commitment, achievement and employer recognition.
Inesa was accompanied by Ann Ashwell (Group Personnel Manager) and Dennis Petersen (Operations Director) from Gressingham Foods and her assessors Tim Hammond and Andrew Platten from Poultec Training Limited.
Ann Ashwell said “The whole company are extremely proud of Inesa’s achievement; we at Gressingham Foods like to think we are at the forefront of staff development and Inesa’s success is a reflection of this. We are absolutely delighted. It was an amazing day for all of us; we too had the honour of meeting and speaking to the Master Butcher who took the time to speak with everyone present.”
Inesa Petrauskiene said “It was one of the most memorable days of my life and I’d like to thank all staff at Gressingham Foods and Poultec for their encouragement and support.”
