Kerry is completing her biggest challenge yet!

Hairdressing and Barbering tutor, Kerry is completing her biggest challenge yet!

This September Kerry will be completing a walk from Fort William to Inverness. Day 1 she will climb Ben Nevis, day 2 will takes her on a gruelling walk along the Caledonian Canal. Then she’ll arrive in Loch Ness where the hill phase starts and a one-night wild camp take place. The final day is a 20-mile-long drag to Inverness. A total of 5 consecutive days of walking, covering a total of 88 miles.

Kerry says ‘I joined a training group called ‘Trained by Jonny’ a year ago, after having breast cancer myself two years ago. For me it’s all about positive mental attitude and this group has defiantly help this. At the beginning I never wanted to take part in any of the walks or camping (I hated camping). But last year I completed the Brecon Beacons and 3 peaks in Yorkshire, and I recently climbed Snowden all things of which I never thought I would do or enjoy.

Not so long ago I helped Littlelifts a charity hand-pack their thoughtful gift boxes for breast cancer patients and was really touch by what they do. I found it quite emotional as I know how I would have felt if I had received one of those myself. Since then this charity has been very close to my heart, so I am completing this challenge in aid of Littlelifts and I would love to raise as much as I can for this amazing charity!!’

Any donations are much appreciated, big or small every penny counts and it all adds up.
