New Course Launch – Employability Skills & Horse Care

We are excited to announce the launch of an Employability Skills & Horse Care Course, which is aimed at 16-19 year olds who are looking to start or advance their career path within the equine industry. This course is three days a week, with two days at Kimblewick Equestrian Centre in North Tuddenham and one day at Poultec Training in Mattishall.

The course will be a blend of theory and practical and will include visits from equine professionals and visits to other equine organisations to experience a variety of career opportunities. It also includes learning about horse behaviour, basic needs of the horse, stable care, grooming, horse health as well as CV writing, introduction to ICT, applying for a job, interview skills and job searching. On successful completion, you will gain a British Horse Society Challenge Awards Qualifications in Horse Knowledge and an opportunity to progress onto a job or into further training i.e. an Apprenticeship.

Individuals wanting to enrol on this course must be aged 16 to 19 years old and must not already be in any education, training or employment. 16-19 year olds should consider applying for this course as it will give them essential information on finding a job and gaining employment. Alongside this they will also gain life skills and motivation.
