Recruitment learners get the approval!

Poultec Training are celebrating the achievement of recruitment consultant apprentices Jack Scott, Callum Smith and Si Maunders their first cohort of recruitment apprentices which have now reached end point assessment (EPA) – the final stage of completing their apprenticeship. Jack, Callum and Si have already completed their Level 3 Diploma in Recruitment and are currently being scheduled for their end point assessments which should take place very soon.

Poultec Training started delivering the recruitment apprenticeship in November 2020, Jack, Callum and Si were our first students to be signed up on this qualification and have all reached EPA. ‘It’s been fantastic to see them all develop great skills and confidence over the time that we have worked together’ says Paula, tutor.

All three of these learners work for Trac, Trac is an applicant tracking system that lets you take control of your workforce recruitment. Trac is a fast and cost-effective way to recruit. Si is working as a recruitment coordinator and Jack and Callum mentor Apprentices.

The recruitment programme started with monthly classroom-based sessions held at our Mattishall centre but quickly had to revert to online sessions due to COVID-19. Learners were able to return to face-to-face teaching to complete their learning with Poultec Training. Learners completed a series of assignments which included topics such as sales within recruitment as well as the legal and ethical requirements. The qualification also provides the learners the understanding of relationship management in recruitment, general recruitment operations, understanding of the recruitment market and the principles of assessing people.

Poultec tutor, Paula Forder was able to visit all three apprentices in the workplace to complete final observations and she said ‘it was nice to be able to meet them face to face again. All three leaners have shown some excellent work within their portfolios and demonstrated their competence through some diverse evidence and some great observations.’ We also spoke to all three of them and they said ‘since being on this Apprenticeship we have found that our own experiences have helped other young people greatly,’ which as a training provider is fantastic to hear.

The Recruitment Apprenticeship provided by Poultec Training provides a fantastic opportunity to start a career in recruitment, learning skills on-the-job and earning a wage.  Apprenticeships allow businesses to recruit, train and develop their workforce, benefiting from funding and government incentives.  For more details speak to a member of the Poultec team.
