Poultry Academy Programme Launched

Following the successful launch of the Poultry Academy, Nathan Raines, Poultec's Associate Director of Agriculture and Manufacturing announced the subjects of the workshops that local Apprentices are invited to attend.  The half-day workshops, which cover a broad range of subjects, have been created to give Apprentices an overview of the industry topics and support the learning that they are doing on their Apprenticeship programme.

Nathan added "We have been pleased with the number of applications we have received since the launch of our Poultry academy.  The workshop programme has been developed to cover a range of subjects and be delivered by industry experts.  Workshops include vaccination's provided by Gavin Kelly of Merial Animal Health and Veterinary Health provided by Nick Norman, local veterinarian and OV".  The rolling programme of monthly workshops means that Apprentices  can join the Academy programme at any time and attend the workshops while completing their Apprenticeship.

Poultec are encouraging all local poultry businesses to recruit and help to develop young people within the poultry industry.  Poultec has already recruited a number of Apprentices through their academy programme however, it's not too late to join our Poultry Academy - more details can be found here.
