Poultec Training Ltd are proud to see former  Level 3 Poultry and ILM Level 3 Apprentice winning this years Poulters award, as detailed in this months Poultry Business magazine:

A regional manager for PD Hook Hatcheries has won this year’s Worshipful Company of Poulters Award for making a substantial contribution to the poultry sector, which comes with a prize of £1,000

Shane Noble was named the winner in recognition of his achievements including promoting the industry to young people.

Noble started off in the poultry industry in 2002 working as a farm worker. After progressing to site manager, then area manager, in 2014, he became responsible for 13 breeding and rearing sites.

“Within this role I was given the opportunity to take up an Institute of Leadership and Management apprenticeship (ILM). I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the course, and achieving a distinction in the ILM apprenticeship came with great satisfaction,” says Noble. In January 2019 he became regional manager, responsible for 29 PD Hook farms across the west of the country.

The Worshipful Company of Poulters is one of the Livery Companies of the City of London. In 1368, the Company received the power to regulate the sale of poultry, swans, pigeons, rabbits and small game. The Company now operates as a charitable institution. The Poulters’ Prize of a certificate and £1,000 is awarded to a person who has made a substantial contribution, at an early age, to poultry production.
