New Study Programme Launch – Helping you choose your career

We are thrilled to announce the launch of an Employability Skills programme which includes an introduction in the following subject areas; Hospitality & Catering, Fitness, Hairdressing & Barbering, Sports & Golf Coaching, Engineering (Welding & Fabrication and Vehicle Maintenance).

This programme is aimed at 16-18year olds who are unsure on what career path to take and would like to trial a range of different subjects before choosing a specific one. It is delivered over two days a week at Poultec Training’s main site in Mattishall and Poultec’s Engineering Centre in Norwich.

The course will be a blend of theory and practical skills including cooking a variety of dishes in our purpose-built cookery suite, training and instructing fitness in our dedicated training facilities, mastering the art of all things hairdressing and barbering in the Poultec salon, swinging golf clubs at Mattishall Golf Club and absorbing all things golf coaching by PGA Qualified Golf Professionals and carrying out basic hands on engineering tasks in our fully equipped workshops. It will also provide you with Employability Skills such as CV writing, introduction to ICT, how to apply for a job and interview skills.

On successful completion, you will gain a Level 1 Extended Award in Employability Skills and the opportunity to progress onto a subject specific Study Programme, an Apprenticeship or employment.
