Congratulations Adam on receiving a distinction at End Point Assessment!

After completing A levels in Business Studies, Psychology and Economics in 2018, Adam decided against university as he didn’t think it would suit his learning style, and instead he opted to go down the apprenticeship route. Adam started working at South Green Park two years ago and shortly after enrolled onto the ILM Level 3 Diploma in Management apprenticeship. Adam was keen to continue his learning whilst earning a wage. He began working on ways the business could grow by looking for new opportunities and looking at ways to save the business money, which he continues to do. In July Adam received a promotion to Business Development Officer, and he is now involved in recruiting new apprentices and connecting with new businesses across Norfolk. ‘It’s great as my working environment enables me to put these new apprenticeship skills into practice.’  said Adam.

Spencer, Adam’s tutor, commented: “It has been an honour and privilege to tutor and mentor Adam. Adam is a diligent and driven student who has excelled in his studies.”

On Tuesday 29th September Adam sat the final part of his apprenticeship, a remote three-part End Point Assessment which included a multiple-choice test, interview with questions and a professional discussion. After what felt like the longest two weeks ever he got his results and was ecstatic to see it was a distinction! Adam is the first member of the Poultec team to complete his end point assessment and is also the first in his study group. Adam has set the bar high! ‘I am glad I didn't let the side down! The apprenticeship was very useful to me, as it allowed me to apply the knowledge I’d learnt in the classroom straight to the workplace. This really helped me to retain the knowledge and skills that I learnt on the course; a lot of which I now use on a daily basis.” Adam added.

“Adam’s understanding of managerial theories and their practical application in the working world is exemplary, a fact bore out by his ‘Distinction’” said Spencer.

Even in his new role, Adam has decided to continue with his studies and has already signed up for Poultec’s newest apprenticeship, Recruitment Consultant.
