Areas covered include administration, communication, providing reception services, IT skills and specialist areas including legal and medical. This is ideally suited to a learner who is looking for or has recently obtained employment in an administrative role.
The Business and Administration Apprenticeship helps you learn the skills necessary to provide this service. The units range from IT specific, to customer service and Reception Duties including face to face and telephone skills, researching and presenting information, teamwork and communication skills.
Apprentices will gain transferable skills, so you could be working in a record company or with a charity. Administration roles are also an excellent starting point in any company and you will benefit from a huge range of career options.

Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration
This apprenticeship will develop knowledge, understanding and skills essential for working in a business and administration environment across various occupations and sectors of employment. This is ideal for those new into the role.
A tutor will regularly visit the Apprentices place of work, to carryout teaching and assessment. The tutor will set tasks to be completed between visits, which could include project work.

Level 2 Diploma in Business and Administration
Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths
This Apprenticeship is aimed at those supporting and engaging with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike; from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector. Apprentices will be invited to attend workshops away from the normal place of work, where you will be provided with additional knowledge and in some cases attend sessions to broaden your understanding of the industry.
To complete the Apprenticeship an End Point Assessment will be completed by an independent assessor. Your tutor will ensure that you are ready for assessment.
Higher Apprenticeship in Business and Administration
The Higher Level Apprenticeship in Business Administration has been developed to support those already employed in a business environment role at a higher level such as senior administrators, team leaders or managers. During your Apprenticeship, you will be required to undertake a number of mandatory and optional units.

Managing information and knowledge
Units are selected in consultation with the learner, employer and tutor to ensure that they are both relevant to your work place and your career aspirations.
