Apprenticeships

Agriculture

Poultec deliver Poultry Apprenticeships throughout England. Poultry Apprentices are employed on either farms or hatcheries and work alongside fellow team members, learning new skills.

Learners receive regular visits from their Poultec tutor who provide teaching and assessment sessions to further develop the learner’s skills and knowledge.  Tasks will be set by our tutors to be completed between visits, which could include projects. Apprentices will also be invited to attend workshops away from the work place, these will provide additional knowledge and, in some cases, attend sessions to broaden their understanding of the industry.

Apprenticeships are tailored specifically to the type of farm or hatchery; this could be for an egg production farm, rearing farm, breeding farm or growing farm. These may be chicken, turkey or duck sites.

After completing an Apprenticeship, there are opportunities for the learner to progress within the industry.
