Onto the next…The Edale Skyline

This October 10 Poultec Training staff members will be kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a mighty walk. They will be completing The Edale Skyline which is a 20 mile walk at an ascent of 1,200 meters for approx. 8-10 hours all in aid of the Little Lifts charity.

On Sunday 1st October 2023 all our challengers will tackle a tough 20 mile walk over some of the Peak Districts most beautiful terrain, the route will take them on a high-level adventure across several peaks around the vast and impressive Edale Skyline. They will experience some spectacular views as they push themselves to climb over 1,100m of total height gain on this incredible walking challenge. They will summit Brown Knoll, Mam Tor, Back Tor, Lose Hill and Win Hill.

Lots of the participates completed the Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge back in May and have been egger ever since to achieve another. Everyone is really looking forward to accomplishing this challenge and they have begun their training and fundraising in preparation to smash the Edale Skyline challenge whilst raising lots of pennies for such an amazing cause.

Poultec Training are proud to be a Platinum sponsors of Little Lifts and it is our mission to raise as much money as possible for them! Little Lifts aim is to provide all breast cancer patients with free, thoughtfully curated Little Lifts gift boxes when they’re receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment. Many challengers are completing this in honour of family members, friends and colleagues who have had or who are currently going through breast cancer treatment. Breast cancer can strike anyone at any time, every year approximately 55,000 women and 350 men are diagnosed with breast cancer and 36,000 women living with secondary (incurable) every year, making it the most common cancer.

We’re greatly appreciative of any support and donations for this fundraising event via the group donation page or to the individual walkers.
