Poultec Helps Students Engineer their Future

Poultec Training Limited are pleased to announce the addition of Automotive and Mechanical Engineering to their portfolio of training programmes.  This latest addition has resulted in the development of a specialised Engineering Training Unit located at the Henderson Business Centre in Norwich.  The first of two workshops has been fitted with the latest automotive engineering equipment, supplied by local companies Sealey, Panks and Prevost, to provide a high-end, professional engineering environment for their students to learn in.  The second workshop is currently undergoing fitting and will include specialist mechanical engineering equipment.

Initially Poultec’s engineering courses will be aimed at those leaving full time education and wanting to progress into a career in automotive engineering, but will ultimately extend into mechanical engineering as well as Apprenticeships and specialist short courses such as welding and lathe work.

The first training programme being delivered is the Level 1 NVQ Certificate in Performing Engineering Operations, which will see students working on race bikes, including the building of components and preparing bikes for racing.  With courses due to start in the coming weeks, Poultec are holding an Open Day at their facilities at the Henderson Business Centre, Ivy Road, Norwich on Thursday 13th November, 3-7pm.  Where those interested in pursuing a career in Engineering are welcome to come, speak to the team and view the new facilities.

Edward Bales, Poultec’s Managing Director said “We look forward to the exciting opportunities that this new area will bring to our business.  Poultec has a proven track record of working with industry to develop tailored courses to meet the needs of individuals and businesses alike.”
