Poultec Training Limited is a private training provider who, over the last 10 years have built a reputation for running successful and effective training programmes both at our South Green Park base and also for employers at their premises throughout the region and beyond. South Green Park is an events and conference facility in a peaceful, rural location but with modern, state of the art facilities. South Green Cafe Bar is part of the centre and operates as a fully functioning restaurant in it’s own right.

Current Vacancies

Accounts Manager – FT, PT or freelance (Maternity Cover) – with a sound understanding of SAGE 50 Accounts/Payroll, you will need to have experience of invoicing, credit control, cash flow monitoring and other financial functions in a busy office environment. An AAT Qualification would be desirable but not essential.

Key responsibilities will include processing monthly payroll (including timesheets, mileage/expense claims/deductions), pension contributions, PAYE/NI submissions), processing, submission and payment of quarterly VAT returns, raising purchase orders, producing and issuing customer sales invoices, Inputting supplier invoices (including partial VAT exemption rules), maintaining company and pool car serving/MOT records, monitoring cash flow daily/weekly, preparation of Profit & Loss reports and monthly management reports for Directors, assisting the management team with budgetary planning and forecasting, negotiating and securing utility renewal contracts and management of our Accounts Apprentice and their daily working activities.

This position is likely to involve processing the data of young and vulnerable people and is therefore exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Food/Butchery Tutor – FT or PT – Are you fed up with visiting the same workplace day after day?  Need some variety in your life?  Maybe a new challenge?  Read on!

With knowledge of the Food Manufacturing Sector (or retail butchery), you need to be a good communicator and able to pass on your knowledge to others. You may have had experience as a supervisor or on-line trainer or any other hands-on food sector role which has enabled you to gain a good understanding of the principles of food manufacturing.

You will visit workplaces throughout East Anglia and possibly beyond, providing support and assessment for Apprentices in Food Manufacturing.  Occasionally, you will deliver courses such as Food Safety here at South Green Park.  An occupational assessor qualification and teaching qualification would be beneficial but not essential as we will give you all the training and support you need. Equally, IT experience would be useful.

It is essential you are able to drive as you will often be out and about on your own although often our assessors visit workplaces in pairs.  You may need to stay in hotels occasionally and these will be organised and paid for by the company.

Tutors – Freelance, FT or PT – We are looking for people with a successful track record of delivery in a variety of sectors including Engineering/Motor Vehicle Health & Safety, Food Safety, Business & Management, ICT and Catering.  Our provision is delivered at a range of venues regionally and nationally and our tutors may therefore be expected to travel throughout the country with occasional nights away in hotels organised and paid for by the company.  We are keen to speak to potential full time, part time staff and freelance tutors that want to contribute to the fantastic work our team are doing.  Candidates should have a successful track record of delivering similar qualifications in industry.  An adult teaching qualification is desirable but not essential as we can provide training for the right applicant.

This position requires applicants to be able to drive as there is a requirement to visit learners in the workplace in areas where the use of public transport would not be viable.
