Current Vacancies

Engineering Tutor/Assessor (£25k-£28k)

With a strong engineering background you will be well placed to use your knowledge to develop new entrants to the sector as well as upskilling existing engineers.

You must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of delivering and assessing Engineering Qualifications. Ideally you will have experience in Motor Vehicle qualifications although this is not essential. What is essential, however, is a thorough knowledge of the principles of engineering and the ability to use this to develop and inspire others.

Part of your time will be spent delivering level 1 and 2 engineering courses in our Engineering Centre in Ivy Way, Norwich; ensuring that you combine lively and enthusiastic delivery with the excellent resources to inspire your students.

The rest of your time will be spent operating in a wide range of establishments developing and training their engineering staff. We have Apprentices throughout the region so you should be prepared to travel.

Good communication and the ability to keep accurate written records are essential as is a reasonable level of IT.

This position requires applicants to be able to drive as there is a requirement to visit learners in the workplace in areas where the use of public transport would not be viable.

This position is likely to involve working with young and vulnerable people and is therefore exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. If selected for interview, applicants will be given the opportunity to provide information on any previous convictions including those, which, in other circumstances, would be thought of as spent. Any information will be kept confidential, will only be disclosed to relevant and sufficiently senior parties and may not necessarily prevent a person undertaking the role. The successful applicant will be expected to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which must be renewed every five years.

To apply, send an email and covering letter to enquiries@poultec.co.uk

Hospitality and Catering Tutor/Assessor (£20k-£26k)

Significant experience in the hotel/restaurant sector is a must for this position. Although some experience of training in a catering environment (and in particular an A1 Award) would be useful, it is not essential as we are able to provide the training and development which will give you the skills you need. What is essential, however, is a thorough knowledge of the hospitality and catering sector and the communication skills to use this knowledge to develop others.

Part of your time will be spent at South Green Park delivering courses to hospitality students; ensuring that you combine lively and enthusiastic delivery with our excellent catering training facilities to inspire your students.

The rest of your time will be spent operating in a wide range of establishments developing and training their catering and hospitality teams. We have Apprentices throughout the region so you should be prepared to travel.
